WE DO
An overarching goal is to create a sustainable community in Naidupet. Projects planned to accomplish this include a school, chicken and vegetable farming, skills training, education, and more.
Starting a Village School
Even though public education is free for all children in India, these children have never set foot in a school, such has been the case for many generations before them. Without education and skills, these children are destined to lives of poverty and low paid menial work.
In April 2024, Restoration Humanity started the first village school. Monday through Friday, for 3 hours, a local teacher sets up school under a shelter and teaches the children under the age of 12. The focus is to prepare these kids with foundational learning to make them school ready for the local public school system. Along with lessons the children are given breakfast and lunch.
We believe education is key to breaking the cycle of poverty. Join us to bring hope to these children's’ future.
Soaps, Sandals, Sarees
In preparation for the hot summer months where temperatures reach in excess of 40ºC/104ºF, your donations help provide sandals for the men, women, and children. You would have noticed that in many of the pictures most of them did not wear any sandals.
For Easter, during a food distribution, the women were also given new sarees and the children were delighted to receive chocolates.
