A Home Like No Other
Dumping ground, … trash heap, … landfill. No matter what you call it, you wouldn’t call it home. But millions of people in South Asia do. Dozens of families live, sleep, eat, and work in these squalid conditions. Living in makeshift shelters, barely protected from the elements, they struggle to exist.
These families live as outcasts of society, without access to running water, electricity, food, or basic utilities. Their livelihood depends on trash collection. Each monsoon season, this village is washed out by floods, never allowing for any stability in their lives.
