UPDATE: Water pumps installation in 10 villages and schools!

SFIRD and Restoration Humanity (RH) have successfully launched the Black Molly Access to Water Project. Pumps were installed in both schools and villages throughout the Guntur district. These are the first water pumps, and perhaps the first direct access to water, that these villages have ever had access to.
Below are images of the hand pump installations, which are truly profound and moving. A sincere and heartfelt thank you to everyone supporting RH and SFIRD in this effort to provide water to the most underprivileged and vulnerable communities.

With access to water, we hope to see less deaths as a direct result of water scarcity.
Would you please consider partnering with RH to provide the funds needed for the rest of the 70 pumps:
80 bore wells for hand pumps; $220.00 (INR ₹20,000 – as of February 2, 2026) per bore per pump
20 newly bored open wells; $400.00 (INR ₹ 36400 – as of February 2, 2026) per well
These costs include actual boring and construction costs, permits, hardware, installation and labor. All costs stated above are in USD.
As we've talked about before, we will not be able to eradicate water scarcity. However we can start by saving one person, one family, and one village. With each well and pump we hope to provide this very basic need for humanity — water.
